Watery Wednesday - Fishing Pier at Sharkey's

Under the fishing pier at Sharkey's in Venice, Florida.
My nieces were in town visiting. This beach is a great place to come with the family. Here you'll find many fossilized sharks teeth...
...if you're lucky enough to have a screen scoop to gather a pile to look through!

  3. I bet it's very, VERY hot in Florida. How come the beach isn't crowded? It was nice of everyone to let you take these neat photos of nearly empty sand and water!

  5. Cute pic of your nieces! Did they find any shark's teeth? I love Sharkey's -- haven't been there for awhile. I really need to go back there soon.

  6. Perry - yes it's a good time there, they have a steel band that plays in the tiki bar too!

ewik - It was pretty cool under the pier.

EG Wow - it's not as hot here as it is everywhere else right now. On the coast we never reach the hundreds, our normal summer is in low 90s. We get the gulf breeze!

Robyn - thanks, yes I know. I like to post as soon as she opens up the like so I don't forget!

Srq - Yes they did find some sharks teeth! It's always fun there.

  8. What an interesting structure. The water seems to be captured by it in that first shot.

  9. The water is amazingly green. I thought the BP leaks would make this ugly.

  11. How fun! At first glance I thought those were water stairs in the first shot. Love the 2nd one with the faces peeking out in perspective.
