Michigan "Quiet" for Saturday Photo Hunt

Okay since it has been awhile I thought I have to join in this week for Saturday Photo hunt - QUIET. So I searched my pictures from my recent visit to Michigan. It was very quiet here on Half Moon Lake.

And here in the vineyard at Bower's Harbor.

Overlooking Lake Michigan at Sleeping Bear Dunes which has to be quiet or it will wake the bear.

All quiet here as well...

Enjoying the peace and "quiet" of the rolling hills at Chateau Chantal Winery.

You could enjoy this really "quiet" bed and breakfast in Glenn Arbor Michigan if that is what you are looking for in a vacation to get away from it all.

Saturday Photo Hunt - ZANY -

The Kids Summer Beach Fun Runs have gotten so crowded it's "ZANY" The evenings are a better time to run in the Florida summers. Of course this year it's a lot cooler than the rest of the country. Just barely brushing 90 and not the usual humidity...I'll bet the snowbirds are sorry they left.

It is just too much for us, we have been going to this each summer since Maranda was 4 years old. She has a T shirt from each year...but now it is so crowded... the phots were from a couple of years ago when it was a little steamy out, but we've never reached 100 degrees here on the coast.

We go to the Mr. Beery's fun runs on Wednesday nights instead.

This is the other "ZANY" photo I threw in, maybe I'll see if it fits into another category.

Siesta Beach - Mellow Yellow Monday

We went out to Siesta beach to see how everything was holding up after tropical storm Debby. Tried out my new zoom...perfect for Mellow Yellow Monday!

It seems all is well, everyone is back to the beach, except the surfers, no waves for them anymore. The Life guard stands that they showed on The Weather Channel are back in their spot guarding the waters again.

The Off Shore Boat Races were held yesterday, the best view was on Lido Beach and then another beach day coming up on Wednesday for the 4th of July. I know I won't be fighting the crowd on the beach that day!

Saturday Photo Hunt - FLASH

Meet Flash, he is one of our "God dogs" and he stays with us while his owners are off on vacation. Since I didn't have a lightning photo, or have never caught the green flash in a sunset, I was going to post a squirrel "flashing" by, then I thought I might as well just post "Flash".

Flash is a border collie and is very fast, he loves to be around the pool, but won't go in the water.

He has to be by you at all times, come on Flash really?!

Ohhh, both of them? At least they are in and out like a "flash"...now if they would just learn to close the door behind them!

Photo Hunt - HOT -

For this week photo hunt - HOT - I was going to post some skewers on the grill, but it just didn't look "hot". So I went with the HOT sun even though it's not at it's hottest at sunset...but you can see the HOT!

Saturday Photo Hunt - Ripple

Living on the Florida Gulf coast we have much opportunity to catch some "ripple" in the water around here...and I caught some ripples in the sand. I knew I had this photo around and I'm happy to post it for this weeks photo hunt "RIPPLE"



Okay, here is a "ripple" in the gulf



A ripple in the sand just as the wave from the gulf wets it down...

After the rain in the sand "ripple"



And what would Florida be if you couldn't see a "ripple" in the water from  manatee?!!

~Clean~ Photo Hunt

This weeks photo hunt is ~CLEAN~ so here is my "clean" photo...I really should say this is getting clean!

Tucker never did like getting "clean", but he sure did like getting dirty! The way he acted you'd think it was a punishment!

Otherwise he loved the water, he'd jump in the pool in a heartbeat! He even liked walkng in the rain.

He was so hairy this was the best way to getting him "CLEAN"

His favorite part of getting "clean" was the rub down afterwards! Now he's happy!
